The Italian language proficiency test is compulsory for non-EU study visa applicants for study visas who choose wish to enrol in a study coursedegree programme taught in Italian. Those who hold a Council of Europe certificate of Italian language proficiency at least at level B2 in possession of a certificate of knowledge of the Italian language of a level not lower than B2 level of the Europe Council, issued by the framework ofunder the CLIQ (Certificazione Lingua Italiana di Qualità) quality system, and as well as students who intend to enrol in courses entirely taught exclusively in English, are exempt from the test.

Passing Elegibility for the language test is an essential requirement for enrolment: those students who fail this test will not be able to enrol at the University for the current academic year.
